Easter Finest! Just some Spring Fun!

Easter weekend was so much fun. We started with a trip to the beach for the day just the three of us. No pictures as we have already ruined too many cameras at the beach. Sunday we enjoyed church in our new facility at Edgewater High School. If anyone is looking for a new church with fabulous people and open hearts I highly recommend you check out Grace Orlando. My parents joined us for church and Garrett got lots of Grandpa time as he is Grandpa's boy! We gathered with my brother and sister-in-law and their girls at my parents, joined also by my grandmother "Gram" and my uncle Vince. We had a great casual lunch and then all hopped into the pool after the Easter Egg Hunt in the front yard. A great day! Here are some new pictures. Unfortunately we tried three times to get a good picture of Bill and I, not sure if it is the photographers' fault or the people in the picture, but none were blog worthy. Here they are...

Grandpa Show me... They were looking at the pictures of the Old Edgewater High School, where my parents went to school.

Our future GQ, not wanting his picture taken. He looks like such a big boy!
They were all just too cute holding hands, I had to get a picture while we were leaving church.

The cousins Garrett (3.5 years), Penny (3.5 years) and Bethany (Almost 7)! All dressed up.

The three of them "Hatching" their Eggs to see what was inside.
Look closely and you can see me hiding inside. Although he acted as if he was completely hidden by the box.

Being Silly with my Google Head hat. Or officially my Lady Bug Band he made at school.

That's My Cutie Pie!

I recently went through my camera and found a couple of cute ones. We have been doing so much fun stuff lately that we have just not had the time to stop and tell each story. I hope these pictures will do for a Healy Update for now.

Garrett, Gibson, Avery and Ala (neighborhood kids) all went to bounce at a place called Bounce U. They had so much fun but were very tired afterwards. This was at the end of the afternoon, Garrett was playing basketball in one of the bounce houses and just layed down with the balls to protect them.
Cheese..Pizza that is! We took Garrett out for a surprise pizza night. He was loving the pizza and was too cute for words.

Eating it up with Daddy! Which one is the silly one?

Getting ready for St. Patrick's Day eating up the green dounuts at church. This is a part of his Sunday morning ritual. Do you think he is comfortable at church?

Cheesing it up with his 3D glasses in the back seat. Since Mommy got her new glasses Garrett has wanted to sport his glasses for the day.

We took Garrett to pick strawberries and took home over 5lbs of yummy delicious strawberries and many memories.

Music Anyone?

Just a goofy picture of our little musician! Garrett was having a great time drumming to the beat with his egg shakers. I just loved his face and caught it with the camera. Hope it makes you laugh as much as it did us.

January where did you go? Wait I never Blogged about Christmas

Oh My! Sorry fellow bloggers for my long exit from this world. Life has been nothing but normal and I haven't thought for a minute to sit and talk about the everyday. We have just really begun our routine again, not too many exciting times to blog about. I will try for you to think of funny stories and reconnect. For now please forgive me and honor the cute stories that I didn't get to tell about our Christmas Celebrations.

Fun Moments from the End of December:
Our Christmas events were very fun. Garrett showed that he was in fact a good boy in Santa's eyes and our too. This year we tried to focus on the meaning of Christmas and spend time and energy with family and friends. Santa was very generous to Garrett with a new Spider Man bike, helmet and a bell for the bike. We have had fun getting out an about. My long big workout bike rides have shorted for now until G gets a little better at the distances and staying out of the middle of the road, since many places in our neighborhood do not have side walks.

However, I am not sure how to take the fact that Garrett switched gifts that he would like to get from Santa at the last moment and asked for a scooter and a Big Mack (18 wheeler) truck. Christmas morning he was a little disappointed that these requests were not heard.

Enter cute story #1 HERE: We went to a party at my friend Jen and Matt's house and they had their house decorated for the holidays. In their guest bathroom hung cute hand towels that had a reindeer on each. One was in view of the potty seat and when Garrett sat down. He noticed that "Santa was missing a reindeer". How would he deliver the toys if two of reindeer were at Ms. Jen's house? He was very upset and confused. We made sure to put in a special request that they be returned before Dec. 24th. I believe this request was honored since Santa indeed visited our house.

Cute Story #2, Visit with Santa: Each year Santa Clause makes an appearance on my parents' street coming down on top of the local fire truck. It is a lot of fun and a great event that we have been doing since I was a kid. In recent years, since my Grandmother has been living with my parents Santa listens to requests from the kids and then walks down to the Wolek house. My nieces Bethany and Penny as well as Garrett feel as if they are the coolest kids that Santa comes into "their house" but not anyone else's.  Anyways, Garrett did not go for sitting on Santa's lap to spell out his requests only asked that I convey the message. When Santa came into the house he tried to talk to him from across the room. I saw the nerves and picked him up and asked him to repeat what he had said to Santa. That is when we realized that Santa was not the main attraction. Garrett asked Santa, not for his bike that he was talking about, or when he would return to his house or the north pole, but "Santa, Where are your reindeer?" Garrett was very concerned that Santa and Mrs. Clause were present but no friendly reindeer to pet and see up close. Too bad Garrett didn't get a glimpse of that Red Ford F150 decorated like it had been to the North pole and back, complete with snow flakes, garland and more. I guess the reindeer had the night off!

Ahhhh December!

Tis the month of birthday celebrations and festivities for the holidays. We ended last month with the BIG BIRTHDAY for BILL. He turned 40 this year and we had to celebrate. We hosted Thanksgiving at our house with almost 20 family members, it was great fun, lots of work but in the end a great time with family. We celebrated Bill and Garrett's birthday with the family after dinner with presents and a football birthday cake. We went out the Saturday after Bill's birthday for a little adult fun. The guys from the neighborhood took Bill out that afternoon and the ladies ended up meeting up with them for dinner. We were supposed to host everyone, but last minute changes led to dinner at a local Family Style Italian restaurant, where we were allowed to be just as loud as a 40th celebration requires! What a great time with friends. We decided this year to play Garrett's birthday low key and just had his buddies from the neighborhood over on his actual birthday (Wednesday). Most of the Dad's work nights and so Bill was the lonely man at the kid party. It was so perfect though, pizza and some cake and lots of fun for the kids to play together. I believe this was the least stress event I have ever had and Garrett had a BLAST! We felt truly blessed to have great friends and family to celebrate with.

This week we also did something very special. We helped to welcome the Angel of Hope to Central Florida. On December 6th the work of several local parents and health care professionals came together. The Angel of Hope is a statue that is based upon the book The Christmas Box by Richard Paul Evans. In the book a woman mourns the loss of her daughter at the base of an angel statue. When the book arrived on the best sellers list year's ago, many parents sought out the statue to pay tribute to the fallen angels in their lives. The original statue is said to have been destroyed, but the author commissioned an artist to recreate the angel. Now there are statues across the United States and we were excited to help welcome the Angel of Hope Statue to Central Florida. If you live here she is located in Sunshine Park in Altamonte Springs across from Lake Orienta Elementary. Please take a moment and go by, it is a beautiful sight to see. Anyways, each year there will be a candle light vigil on December 6th at 7 pm, this year was the first. There were many teary eyes at the ceremony and when Jamie's name was called all of ours were included in the crowd. My Mom and Dad joined Bill, Garrett and I as we remembered our blessed angel. Please spread the word, go by and remember the other children in your lives that have joined God this holiday season.

I know that this holiday season we are so thankful for God, our family, friends and our many blessing. We cannot wait to just enjoy our time together. We wish you all the very best as the Holidays and New Year approach. May we each count our blessings and enjoy life together.
