Life In Florida

So as you know, we arrived in Sunny Florida late last Saturday. We have been non-stop since we arrived.

Bill started work on Monday, with the Wolek Family business, Brite Electric, Air Conditioning and Heating. Learning a whole new business is fun and exhausting. As he puts it he is on the AC (Air Conditioning) Rip Out diet. He has been working in the record high temperatures, mid 90s all week, in attics and outside changing out Air Conditioning Units and learning everything there is to know. Even if he eats everything he wants to, he will still probably drop 30 pounds this summer, just from the heat.

I am enjoying some much needed quality time with Mr. Garrett. We have had so much fun. We are starting to get into a routine, each morning we get up eat breakfast and go for a walk or bike ride to enjoy some sun. We stop along the way at the park and climb all over the place. Garrett learned how to go down the slide by himself, climb up the playground and has even had some fun swinging at the park. In the afternoons we have fun exploring the city, running errands, and even taking a dip in the pool some afternoons. I have to say that I am enjoying staying at home with the little man. I hope/wish this could be long term. Anyone have any suggestions of part time jobs, that would bring in some income and let me stay at home?

FYI... Thursday we have an appointment to meet up with our Wedding Photographer to receive the final pictures. I will keep you posted on where you can view them all. Check back on Thursday afternoon.

Bitter/Sweet

Sorry that we haven't post since the wedding. Since arriving back in Fayetteville it has been a sprint to the finish line. Now we are fast approaching the finish line. Bill's last day of work will be on Thursday and mine on Friday. That night we will hit the road to Florida. We are so excited about this next chapter in our lives and cannot wait to see what Florida has planned for us, not to mention what Brite Electric has planned for Bill Healy on Monday.

The last few weeks has been jammed packed trying to wrap up projects at work, saying our goodbyes and visiting our favorite spots and things to do in Fayetteville. As we slowly say our goodbyes we have started to reminisce about what Fayetteville has given us as a family.

To start, the amazing partners that we have found in each other. From moving in next door to each other, taking care of animals and me spilling wine on Bill's floor, bring home a beautiful baby boy and watching him grow and learn... East Kantz Drive has been our home and the start of our lives together.

As we leave behind memorable locations, friends and neighbors we can't help but think highly of this place we call home. Thank you to everyone that has impacted our lives, taught us so much and befriended the Healy family. From margarita nights, grilling out, ice storm parties and so much more, we thank you and will miss you all so much.

This leg of our journey will be greatly missed, we will always think back on our friends, experiences and our time in Fayetteville as the place we began our lives together. Thank you again. The invitation is always open to join us in Sunny Florida, even if it only for the weekend.

Well sorry for not posting a bunch lately, it is not that nothing has been happening, but that we have been a little busy. We spent the last three weeks in Florida getting married and honeymooning! Hide and Go Seek!

Garrett has discovered the game Hide and Go Seek. It is too funny, Bill and I hide around the corner of the bed and he comes around the corner, so excited and laughs when we say "boo". Since learning this game he has developed his own version. It is called Hide my eyes and come and find me. He will run to the corner of the room or the wall and bury his head against the wall. When you come up behind him he giggles and laughs, you would have thought you found him hiding under something. He is too funny! This little boy is the cutest ever!

Giving thanks to the people that do so much

I just have to say a huge thank you to some people that have been so generous. To the bridesmaids that listen to me be a bride, thank you. To my mother, who gets a daily update on the Wedding and Moving To Do, thank you. To DeeAnn and Martha for planning a fun wedding shower, thank you. And to DeeAnn who has agreed to do all of my flower arrangements, THANK YOU! I am so very appreciative of your creativity and the details that make everything that much better. I can't wait to see all of them come together!



Bill and I are so very thankful for the people in our lives that are helping to make our wedding day, the best. We can't wait to see you all.

T minus 22 days to Mr. And Mrs. T minus 7 days till we are out of our house. T minus 24 days till we are sitting on Key West sipping drinks and relaxing.

T Minus One month!!!!

Yeah, the time is ticking away. I can't believe it but tomorrow will be one month until our wedding. We are just in the last minute preparations. I went to have my practice run of my hair done today, last weekend I took my dress for alterations, I feel like online ordering has become my hobby. Anything I can get online, I have! My prayer is that the weather is nice (since it is an outdoor wedding and reception) and the day goes off without a hitch. We are starting to get really excited, most of friends and family are arranging their travel plans and we too will be doing a bit more on the front end than originally planned.

We have decided to officially make the move to Florida, YEAH! We found someone to rent our house so, we will actually be moving out of it two weeks before the wedding, aka two weeks from today. Instead of flying down we will be driving a U-Haul down for the wedding and hoping to catch a flight back. This should be interesting. We will fly back to work for about a month and then drive the rest of our belongings down in May. We will rent from our neighbor for a little less than two months, who has a furnished townhouse so we will not have to keep too much. We super excited as these plans that have been about 2 years in the making are finally coming into light. Next step, confirm U-haul, find a place to live in Florida, pack our things and go!!!! Can't wait to see you in Florida for the wedding!

Milk Everywhere

Garrett decided to pour milk on himself when his daddy turned his back. Needless to say he had a lot fun, but needed a bath later.
